Not sure how that happened, except that this project had been on the client's insecure servers for a while before moving to our secured servers, so I traced it back to Also, i have this problem on a product page (Ubercart). PHP was completely out of memory. The HTTP 0 error I saw, which included the auto complete URL in the second line showed the URL didn't include the "www". there is a server directive that overrides the Drupal maximum file size settings, AND the PHP maximum file upload settings on the php.ini file. I'm actually working on #634628: AJAX "HTTP Error 0" when AJAX operation is interrupted., which I hoped was related.
