The Deadly JPEG also caused an error when an individual upload was used (ie: not using JUpload).
Seems to me like they ignorig this issue as its a bug that appears under specific curcomstances that appear many times in working inviroment but probably not on some blank testing It does not function like this on a fresh install, i will continue trying to figure out how to reproduce. Configure php.ini file to extend memory limit. why not try these out I've tried everything and to be honest I'm almost ready to give up.
I was using CCK's content permission module. Once I turned this extension off, it all worked fine. For instance, PHP's json_decode() does not like it either. Once I uninstalled the RDF module, everything worked again.

Better you test it with a plain installation. I have run in to this same issue and decided to play around a bit with the browsers. THE OTHER ISSUE IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THOUGH - The garbled characters are also an issue with JSON encoding, but the problem, is these were not in my json response, they http://downloadcallwave.com/http-error/an-http-error-0-occurred-q-filefield-ahah.php I've modified the upload size.
