Using CallWave software: Take Call

To take a call

Click on the yellow 'TAKE CALL' button as shown in figure above.
You will be able to hear callers as they are leaving messages.
You can answer the call through your phone line, transfer the call to another phone or just let the callers leave their message.

When should I click the "TAKE CALL" button?

Anytime before the callers ahng up the phone.

What will my callers hear when I take a call or transfer a call?

A CallWave standard greetings and notifications will be presented by CallWave call alert software while CallWave is connecting callers to you.

Will my internet connection disconnected when i take the call?

Yes, the internet session will be ended if you take the call through the phone line. A short notice is stated there at the drop down menu. (See figure.)

What if l need my internet connection when taking the call?

You can use call transfer as your option, Click the 'Take Call' button, transfer the call to your cell phone or another phone line to take the call.

Using CallWave software: Transfer the Call

Call transfer function is very important when you can't afford to miss the call and must beat internet. The call can be transfered to cell phone or other home phone.When a call comes in while you're online, CallWave software will appear on screen and show the menu below:

You can choose to accept the call on your home phone or transfer the call to other phone number including your cell phone.

To transfer a call

Click ‘Take Call’ button.
A pull down menu will be shown as the figure above..
Select the phone number (that you set up earlier) you want to transfer to from the menu.
Wait for the call to connect to the transferred phone line.
While waiting, your callers will hear a CallWave greeting telling them to stand by.

Call transfer will be very useful when you need to be online and need to take an important call at the same time. Whenever there’s incoming call, you can transfer the call to your cell phone or another home phone line by selecting the function through the ‘Take Call’ button.

How do I to set up transfer numbers?

Setting up the call transfer number in CallWave is easy, follow the easy steps below and you will be fine.

Click the "Menu" button on your CallWave window
Select "Take The Call & Transfer Settings.”
Enter the name of the phone (example: my cell phone, mum’s home phone) and the phone number (example: 805-555-1818)
Click on the "OK" button when you're finished!

Why call transfer?

Sometimes the connection to the Internet might be very important and can’t be stop, for example, making online purchase or online banking. Stopping the purchase process or transaction might cause problem for the process and your credit card/bank account.

Also, there are always calls that you can’t afford to miss.

What if these important calls come in as you are surfing net? You don't want to hang up your Internet connection, but you need to talk with the caller. This is where the CallWave call transfer becomes extremely important.

The Transfer Call feature now gives you the power to stay online and catch the incoming call! When you hear a message being left and you really want to talk to that person, just transfer the call to your cell phone or other phone.

How much time do I have when I speak to a caller?

Depending on the CallWave service you subscribed to, maximum call time is up to 60 minutes.
